MOVE OVER, MISTER GREY!All I can say is, holy s***, Roxie Noir knows what she's doing. I read a lot of fun books, but this has to be the best I've read in 10 years. It's funny, fast, the writing is stellar, and holy crap, this will get you all hot and bothered.
This book has that awesome and incredibly rare combination of having a well-developed and interesting plot, characters that actually have something to say for themselves, and totally steamy sex scenes that you can actually believe in. Yes, yes. Definitely buy this book and everything else Roxie has written.

I absolutely loved this second chance romance! High school sweethearts Hunter and Clementine meet again 8 years later after a brutal break up. The chemistry is definitely still there and neither of them can deny it. Clementine is a forest ranger and Hunter is a hot shot firefighter and they're thrown back together after the hot shots saved a local town. They try to take things slow and not repeat their past mistakes, but a strong storm sends both of them back to work and back into each other's arms. The time they spend with each other in the lookout was steamy and hilarious when it came to the mountain lion (lol!). The danger that Hunter gets into was scary and you will cry. The feels were as intense as deploy situation, omg! I could go on and on about how great this book is, but just pick it up and find out for yourself. I highly recommend it!! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
Clementine and Hunter were lovers in high school eight years ago. They each blamed each other for their breakup though there was a great miscommunication. With the breakup, he joins the Marines for two four year tours of duty. She's a communication ranger and he a firefighter now with the forestry service. They meet at a dinner given to the firefighters as thanks for saving their town. Both are very bitter and still blame each other for the breakup. Story seemed to flow while the characters were sometimes not relatable.
This book was EVERYTHING. It was steamy. It was sweet. It was like your favorite drink after a long day - immensely satisfying. I LOVED this book. Roxie is AMAZING at writing about sex and love. Do yourself a favor and read this book.
Love Roxie's writing and this book about second chances at love. Hunter and Clementine have found each other once again and on their way to finding out they are truly meant to be together,how to trust and about one another again they also have some fun times and banter with one another that had me smiling and laughing. Great story!💕
Wow this book was so much more than I thought it would be and I absolutely fell in love with this book and characters .wow who wouldn't want a second chance with your true love. Clementine and Hunter met in high school and hado a bad break up but both still lover each other so 8 years goes by and they end up at the same town and sparks fly but can they give a second chance at love and find each other again?
This was a great story, if you like sexy firefighters and sexy forest ranger. Hunter and Clementine were highschool sweethearts and Clementine broke thr relationship off when he joined the service. She seems to be insecure of anyones feelings always thinking of her self and always thinking the worst of Hunter. When he left Afghanistan. He became a firefighter. That was his passion, but all Clementine thought he might not come back from fighting forest fires.He hadn't seen her in 8 years thought she was dead,so he was surprised to see her voice and she was a forest ranger and neighbors. Clementine finally started as acting like an adult and let the past behind. Hunter and Clementine had to buddy up at a lookout tower because there was a forest fire heading close to towns. They had to stay agree days in tower and keep an eye on the smoke to notify her boss about the fire. In the meantime,while Hunter and Clementine stayed in the tower, they had a lot to talk about their relationship. They both still had strong feeling for each other after all these years. Will Clementine overcome her insecurities and just take a second chance with Hunter? Find out and read. Thanks Roxie, loved the book. I volunteered for ARC review.
What girl doesn't love a Fireman that's a little vulnerable when it comes to love <3 Especially when it comes to his first love!
After not seeing each other for eight years, you wonder if you should give the one that got away another chance at breaking your heart, but Roxie does such an amazing job in her writing that you fall in love with the characters and root for their HEA.
This story is a wild ride about 2 even wilder characters. Hunter, a Bad A** Hot as Hell Hot Shot Firefighter and Clementine, a sexy Forest Ranger. Roxie knows how to capture and draw emotions that bring everything to life, draw you in and keep you there til the very end!<3 <3 <3
